The unique and particular licorice flavor is achieved for the infusion of the licorice roots (Glychyrriza glabra).
The licorice is obtained from the roots of licorice which grow wildly in areas next to the Romano’s firm. This will guarantee a high quality product because is processed only a few hours after the roots are picked. The particular characteristics of the licorice roots are later enhanced in the liquor because they are not mixed with other ingredients (like sugar or spices), except alcohol which is moderately alcoholic and pleasant to the palate.
It is excellent for the preparation of refreshing drinks and cock-tails. The drinks must be served very cold and they can be also served with cream, hazel-nut and whipped cream.
